Eric N. McKay

Eric N. McKay is a commercial lawyer in his eighth year of practice. He received his Bachelors of Arts, summa cum laude, in History from the University of North Florida in 1998, and his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Tulane University in 2001.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. McKay, joined the Dallas office of Jones Day, an international law firm, as a member of its business restructuring and reorganization practice. In this capacity, he represented businesses in all aspects of bankruptcy and restructuring related matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 liquidations, fraudulent conveyance and preference actions, fiduciary duty and officer and director litigation, and out-of- court restructurings. Mr. McKay also practiced with the Jacksonville law firm of Smith Hulsey & Busey as a member of its bankruptcy and litigation department.

Mr. McKay joined the Firm as an associate in 2009. He is admitted to practice in Texas, Georgia and all Florida Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. McKay is active in the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association.
